I said goodbye and left today to start a life not yet led
A plane from here to who knows  where, but I know I will find a bed
A hut somewhere, near sea and sand for 300 baht a night
No towel, no air con, some sort of shower, so thats alright

My rucksack big, my legs so pale as I step into the world new
But its all ok, never mind the worry, I got the best view
I meet some guys, have a beer and talk about what we know
You go there, and stay here it makes you want to do

No-one nasty or downbeat and we sweat and all feel the same
So dear traveller its all our fault, only us to blame
for the life we have and joy we bring to every one we meet

I love this way and like my life, my flip flops on my feet
I guess it ends, in sight and sound and everything we had
My heart still travels and my mind still visits and deep inside I'm glad

I cant forget the times we had singing on the bus
not back at work, your late for work and oh they are making such a fuss

I leave it there for we all know something they need to find
The life yet led is far and long and never left behind
so close you eyes and raise a smile to something you can only can know
Its changed your life, its made you richer and it will always make you glow

Its cold outside, I'm late for work, I am off travelling in my head
So travel far and party hard, its only fair to say
No matter where you go, travelling is never far away

Its in your mind, its in your soul and maybe in your eyes
But my dear friend, you life full and heart so big and only now
are you fully wise.
